When we first hunted Skunkhouse Genetics’ Cali Burger, its genetic lineage gave us hope that it would yield a phenotype that lent itself well to solventless hash, and that it did! Its unique alchemy of aromas, the stability of its resin, and the overall growth of the plant were all net positives. This particular pheno was specifically chosen for hash, but the strain’s tight, dense bud structure also lends itself well to flower production and offers great jar appeal. Now that hash-savvy Breakwater patients have been introduced to Cali Burger rosin, it only seems appropriate to offer its citrusy, greasy, oily, burger vibes to our Premium Flower enthusiasts as well.
The name is fitting, as California has always been synonymous with citrus (California produced upwards of 75% of the country’s citrus in 2022-2023) and a robust food scene that reveres a great hamburger. A balanced sweet and bitter orange accompanied by the dankness of a mouth-watering, greasy food truck burger give way to an uncommon flavor experience that can now be enjoyed in flower form. The effects are varied and individualized, ranging from increased mood, focus, and clarity to full on relaxation and sedation.
